BQE Engineering was formed on the 26th July 1994 under the Malaysian Company Act 1965

The company's main activity is providing engineering services in the field of testing and commissioning of power station and substation protection and control equipment.

Since its inception, the company has successfully provided services to Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB), Independent Power Producers (IPPs) and Large Power Consumers.

The company is registered as an electrical service contractor by the Department of Electricity and Gas Supply Malaysia under the Electricity Supply Act 1990. The company is authorised and competent to provide services on electrical installations with operating voltage of up to 500kV
